Set of videos about installing and enabling RSS features on phpBB ( Part I ): First download the Mod for phpBB in order to enable RSS Feeds from: www.phpbb.com Once download is complete unzip the file and locate the folder “simple%20syndication” on your hard disk drive. On this folder locate and open the file called “Install” for step by step instructions… If asked, open this file using your web browser (on this video we will use FireFox). Upload the file “syndication.php” located on subfolder “root” to the same directory where phpBB is installed using any FTP client. On our sample the phpBB board it’s installed at the phpBBdemo directory. Now you must edit a file located on your server (where phpBB is installed), the file named “functions.php” into the “includes” folder. As we need to edit a file located on your server (on your board) you must download it locally to your hard disk, on this case we created a folder for it. Open the folder where you downloaded the file…Right click over the file and select “open with”, then click over “Notepad”. From the “Install” file (the file with instructions about installing this Mod) select and copy the line of code as explained. On Notepad click “Edit” and “Find”…On the blank field enter the code ( pasting it ). Once you found it select and copy the second line of code from the “Install” file… Paste it right after the line of code we found before…Save the file…An upload it once again on your server (into the same folder
