This is part 2 of our exploration of the new features in Joomla 1.6 beta. In this episode we&#8217;ll look at Articles, Extensions, the new Module assignment system and templates. In this issue of 10 Minute Joomla! Tips, your host Marco takes viewers for a tour of the new Beta version of Joomla 1.6. In the first of this two part series Marco reviews the new User Access level feature in Joomla 1.6, the new configuration area, and many other new features of this groundbreaking version of Joomla. This version of Joomla is the first &#8220;Almost ready for prime time&#8221; release of Joomla 1.6. While still too early to be used in production it gives Joomla users a great peek at the new powerful features in Joomla. New ACL, new module position management, direct links to extension updates, patch releases and new extensions. In general, the new Joomla 1.6 interface is an evolution of the steps taken in Joomla 1.5 to improve the administration interface with an overall streamlining of many of the most used tasks in Joomla as well as groundbreaking new features to make Joomla the choice for personal and enterprise CMS websites.</p>
